YAJOOR
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how YAJOOR collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the YAJOOR mobile application and website. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use YAJOOR.
1. Who we are
YAJOOR is a property listings service run by an individual operator based in Algeria. For the purposes of Law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, YAJOOR is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at mo.fatmi31@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service. The categories below describe the data we handle and why.
2.1 Account information
When you create a YAJOOR account we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and a password. If you add a profile photo or a description, we store those too.
We use this to identify you, secure your account, let other users contact you about your listings, and send you service messages.
2.2 Location data
YAJOOR shows properties on a map. With your permission, we use your device location to show listings near you and to help you position a property you are listing. You can refuse this permission, or withdraw it later in your device settings, and continue to use YAJOOR by searching for a place by name instead.
We collect location only while you are using the app. We do not track your location in the background.
2.3 Listings and photos
If you publish a listing, we collect what you submit: photographs, descriptions, prices, the property address, and its map position. Requesting access to your camera or photo library is solely so that you can attach images to a listing.
Anything you publish in a listing is visible to other users of YAJOOR. Please do not include personal information in a listing that you would not want to be public.
2.4 Device and usage data
We collect basic technical information automatically: device type and operating system, app version, approximate region, and records of errors or crashes. We use this to keep the service working, diagnose faults, and detect abuse.
2.5 Messages and support requests
If you contact another user through YAJOOR, or contact us for support, we store those messages so the conversation works and so we can investigate reports of misuse or fraud.
3. Why we are allowed to process your data
We process your personal data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, because you have given consent (for example, for location access), because we have a legitimate interest in keeping YAJOOR safe and free from fraud, or because the law requires it.
Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect processing already carried out.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:
- With other users, where you have chosen to publish it — your listings and the contact details you attach to them.
- With service providers who host or operate parts of the service on our behalf, and only to the extent they need it to do that work.
- With public authorities, where we are required to by Algerian law or valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of YAJOOR, our users, or the public — for example when investigating fraud.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. Listings are kept while they are published and for a reasonable period afterwards so that transaction records and dispute history remain available. Technical logs are kept for a short period only.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must keep something to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve an ongoing dispute.
6. Your rights
Under Law No. 18-07 you have the right to ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your data where there is no lawful reason for us to keep it.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
To exercise any of these, write to mo.fatmi31@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to the Algerian national data protection authority.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do take it seriously, and we will notify you and the competent authority of a breach where the law requires it.
8. Children
YAJOOR is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us at mo.fatmi31@gmail.com and we will delete it.
9. Data stored outside Algeria
Some of the providers who help us run YAJOOR may store data outside Algeria. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy and with Algerian law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email.
